i have an Apple I Phone 4s. I'm running IOS 9.0.2. Is there any reason to update to a newer version of IOS? If I do, how much memory will it gobble up? I've only got 3.9 GB's of usable storage left.

Thanks

Well…you can jailbreak 9.0.2. But if that is not your thing, then 9.1 offered some new emojis and 9.3 has Nighshift which is similar to f.lux.

Of course Apple always has a few improvements and bug killers, but it's up to you.

Hello. I'm looking to Jailbreak my 9.0.2 however the file I'm trying to download (pangu) isn't working, do you by any chance know of a reliable link to download the Jailbreak from. Any help would be appreciated

Well, there are some newer features and other bug fixes including security fixes. Some space will be used up to download the update, but once the update is installed it shouldn't really take up more space than what you have now, and sometimes some extra space can even get freed up during the process too.

Are you downloading from the official page?

I am new to the jailbreaking for iOS scene, the only thing I have successfully jail broken in my life is a PS3 so forgive me if I sound a bit off with my iOS knowledge, so basically I have to go onto the above link and download the software, can you confirm it is infact working for 9.0.2 and is it worth doing in terms of making the device slower and stuff?

All right.

First, this must be your internet connection. I downloaded the Windows version without issues.

As far as confirming that it works, I can't do that in a way you may find acceptable.

Here is what I can say however. I downloaded the Pangu jailbreak in October 2015 when it was released. I had a few problems, so I backed up my phone, restored as new and then jailbroke. After that I restored from my backup.

The problem with doing any of that in your case now is that restoring as new will put you on 9.3.1 which is not jailbreakable.

So, all I can suggest is to have the latest version of iTunes installed, backup your phone and then running the app as Administrator, attempt to jailbreak your iPhone.

Just follow the onscreen directions (don't install the 3pp or whatever it's called thing as that's a Chinese app store).

I put this up in my Dropbox for you. Hopefully you can download it.

Thanks. As I said, I'm just fearful of using up my remaining space with the latest update. Once I learn how to remove about 1500 photo's from my phone, that should clear up some space. How much, I don't know.

Thanks

Well, you can move them to a computer and then delete them, or to a cloud service (iCloud, or OneDrive, or Dropbox, or Box, or Google Photos, or Flickr, etc.).

That said, there could be other things taking up space as well that could potentially be freed up. Even some suggestions like the one at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/simple-trick-to-free-up-storage.1967325/
