Hello
I come to you to know what model of graphics card I can put in my 2009 core 2 duo 3.06 in place of the one that is mounted original.
I would like to put a 1 ° ° in place of the 256 °. What do you propose to me?

There are very few graphics cards that work in the iMac. The only ones that people have guaranteed to work are ones from the same year/model of iMac that had higher-end graphics. Merely saying "2009 Core 2 Duo 3.06" unfortunately is not specific enough. There were the "Early 2009" models that were 20" and 24" (3.06 GHz was only 24") that use one type of graphics card, and the "Late 2009" models that were 21.5" or 27" (3.06 GHz was available in both sizes) that use a different type of graphics card.

Lastly, the 21.5" 3.06 GHz model was available with either nVidia GeForce 9400 graphics or ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics. The model with 9400 graphics did not use a dedicated graphics card at all, the 9400-series are graphics integrated in to the chipset.

If you have the early 2009 24" model, then you can only use graphics cards from that series. The best video card for it is the GeForce 8800GS, which really isn't a modern-useful video card. And finding them used is more expensive than just buying a newer model of iMac that has a better video card already!

If you have the late 2009, you can use the graphics cards from models up to the 2011 iMac - so you can get a quite-a-bit-better video card, such as an AMD HD 6000-series card. But it is *NOT* an easy procedure. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Graphics+Card/9553
