update iphone 4, keep jailbreak?

hello community , id like to know, how may i update my iphone 4 to the latest supported ios without losing my jailbreak capabilities

im a graphic designer, and the jailbroken iphone i have lets me practice custom themes and offer the service of custom themes to jailbroken phones .

thanks in advance . for what reason is it hard to find one solid guide on this procedure? no sarcasm intended, id just like to say i tried my best to research before hand . the help is greatly appreciated and respected.

i failed to realize ios 7 was the latest ios for iphone 4. i believed i could have updated to ios 8 like the 4s. thank you for your help .
