I've been trying to update my iPad to iOS 5 for 4 hours now. The update finally completed, but now all of my music and photos are missing off the device. I tried to sync my music and photos back, but it's telling me I don't have enough space because there's a 45 gb "other" segment on there that I have NO idea what it is. Further, it's telling me my music is already sync'ed, but it definitely isn't there.

Then there's iCloud. iCloud told me I can't use it until I respond to a confirmation email. I never got that.

I was looking forward to this so much but now I'm terrified to go anywhere near my phone with this update.

The iOS5 update has restored my music ok but it's wrecked my apps/folder layout. I also now have 12Gb of 'Other' taking up space since iOS5
