Hi everyone!!!
I have a question: can I update a jailbroken Iphone without restoring it first? Because I have a Viber account on it (which backup cannot save, and restore will delete it), that I cannot lose. And If I update (no restore), I will just lose the cydia, right?

Since iOS 6, most jailbreaks have disabled OTA (Over the Air) updating. You'll need to update via iTunes, which will wipe the jailbreak.

iOS 8.4.1 is not currently jailbreakable and 8.4 is no longer being signed. You can only restore/update to a signed version of iOS.

It is necessary to do a restore to the current firmware when a jailbreak is involved. You can't just update.

So, your decision is which is more important? Your jailbreak or Viber.

If you're jailbroken, surely you can navigate to the respective folder for Viber and backup your chat logs using iFile?
