Hello there

I use my Mac mini on my TV & speakers and I read about HDMI issues in the section of the forum.

Not sure if I should take the risk to update to Catalina so I was looking for your opinions.

Also is there a way to go back to Mojave if something wrong happens?

If you want to test drive Catalina, create a new partition on your internal drive and install Catalina on the new partition. Now you have your Mojave install intact and if you don’t like Catalina restart to Mojave and delete the Catalina install.

Actually you can just create another APFS volume inside the container. It shares space and is easily deleted after the test.
