Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading my MacOS Sierra on my Late 2013 27" iMac to a more recent OS.

The main question I have is which version of Mac OS should I upgrade to that will maintain both functionality and speed.

I have already upgraded the RAM to 20Gb.

Thanks

Simon. :)

OS 10.15 "Catalina" is "as far as you can go" with a late 2013 iMac.

Having said that, I think 10.14 Mojave might be a better choice, as it runs 32 bit apps, if you still have some (Catalina is 64 bit only).

OCLP 3.3 Big Sur or Monterey are great candidates to extend the life of your 14,2 iMac 27”. I’m running 11.6.2 Big Sur (OCLP 3.3) without any issues on my late 2013 iMac 27”.
