I have an unlocked iPhone on 1.1.2 and I have the installer application on it be I have noticed there is an 'official upgrade' to 1.1.3 from the dev team. I was wondering if this will relock my iPhone or cause any damage to it.

Yes I seen that as well. Its called "Official 1.1.3 Upgrader" in your recent packages from Conceited Software. Has anybody used this yet? Does it work ok? Is it the full update?

yeh it works it just finished for me 10 mins ago and now i just gotta restore the phone network service

Yea, I've been wanting to get that but I keep hearing stories about stuff not working. You said u gotta restore ur phone service?? What does that mean? I'm in China and have a phone bought here so do you think it will mess anything up somehow?

I am in the US & with AT&T. What do you mean restore the phone service. Does that update do it or is it something I would have to do?

Thanks

i just did it, took like 30min to do mad BS it looks like, and then once its done all i see is the connect the iphone to itunes screen and my itunes says

" theres a problem with your iphone.

sorry, your iphone may be damaged blah blah blah take it to the apple store blah blah."

so now im like **** noooo. As soon as got done reading it a friend called me? So it seems like my phone is not dead but i cant do anything but get calls. Anyone know how to restore your phone via around itunes, because it wont let me see that screen no more.

Damn that's messed up. Glad I didnt do it yet. The only reason I want 1.1.3 is for the multiple SMS forwarding. I use isms but only to forward messages of send to multiple contacts. I have no icons on my screen except four in the doc. I use that thing like the os x doc that brings up all the icons when I drag my I drag my finger from the bottom right corner.

So the updates in 1.1.3 seem pretty useless if your on a jailbreaked iPhone. Besides not having to switch to isms to send to multiple contacts, why do you guys wanna upgrade?

Ps. I'm typing this from my iPhone. This horizontal keyboard is awesome!!! This should be in notes and SMS.

...

What other features come with 1.1.3? I heard something about google maps traffic and a kind of GPS thing. Am I right?

Sounds like we all have to wait a little longer to upgrade anyway.

P.S. I am also writing from my horizontal iPhone! I can't believe it can cope with fat fingers like mine!

No need for that anymore. Just Restore to 1.1.4 and use iLiberty or Pwnage. That should work for all your needs.

How do I restore to 1.1.4 if I'm on 1.1.2?
connect your iphone to itunes then click the upgrade button on itunes this will download the latest firmware file available for your the iphone (which is 1.1.4) and then do a restore with the new firmware file and itunes will start uploading the 1.1.4 fw on your iphone. during this process all the locks will be restored as well at this point you can use one of the many iphone unlocking tools available such as ziphone, iliberty+, or pwange tool(mac only for now)

No, you don't do that.

You connect to iTunes, then click the Restore button which is below the Update/Upgrade button.
