hey guys been a while i updated my iphone 4. im on 5.1.1 and cydia shows i have SHSH 5.0.1/5.1/5.1.1/5.1.1r1/6.0.1

i have a new macbook now and i gave my black macbook to my sis and restored it. thats what i been jailbreaking my iphones/ipod/ipads with..

how would i update my iphone 4 to 6.0 and jailbreak it? been a long while  its on a new computer and i didnt save my SHSH on a back up hard drive..

i see 6.0.1 as update but i think jailbkeak is only to 6.0 only for now..do i have to manually download the 6.0 iOS ? apple still accepting 6.0 restoring ?

thanks

6.0 and 6.0.1 jb for the iphone 4 is a tethered JB only currently.

i see..maybe another week or anytime soon..ok thanks ill stick with my 5.1 for a bit more..till a non tethered is working :)

do i restore from phone or i have to restore via plug to my macbook/itunes ? i assume its not good to update/restore a jailbroken iphone from the iphone itself

thanks

While you are waiting for an untethered jailbreak, I would use Tiny Umbrella to download your SHSH blobs from Cydia so you can have them saved to your new Macbook locally.

Noone knows when but Im pretty sure its going to be longer than another week.
Its nowhere near as simple or easy to get an untethered JB nowadays.
i see..seems like apple has up the security..not really a fan on tethered JB but its progress  im sure it will happen we just have to wait

will do..

Limera1n bootrom exploit makes a tethered jailbreak option almost always available for I4 and 3GS Ipod 3-4 ipad 1 and Apple TV 2nd gen. Since the exploit is hardware based.
