Anyone updated their MacBook Pro 13" late 2013/mid 2014 to Big Sur 11.1 yet?
If so, did you update from Catalina or 11.0.1?

Updated Macbook Pro late 2013 today with no problem from 11.0.1 and it took long time when it seems the Mac was dead but I just left it alone and after more than an hour it works ok and seems snappier than before.

With a few people reporting successful updates to 11.1 I took my chances and updated as well.
It went okey. I was running 11.0.1 before.

I went with the 11.1 from 11.0.1 update and now my late 2013 MacBook Pro is restarted it comes up saying, "your Mac shutdown due to an error, do you wish to re-open your apps again"?

Not sure what that means, I'll restart again real quick and see if it's possible to get a screenshot o it.

I upgraded from Catalina to 11.1 and so far so good on my end! After spending a couple of days with it, it seems quite snappy on my base 15" 2013 Macbook Pro.

Any help for me would be awesome, there is nothing but startup issues since I upgraded, very frustrating.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. Yes I reverted to Catalina and haven't been having any issues at all. Added 4 hours to my battery life by doing it. Less than 2 weeks on Big Sur and I was ready to sell my computer lol

Did a clean install 11.1 a couple of times without any problem.
I'm wondering if I should upgrade to Big sur yet? I downgraded because it was having so many issues, anyone know when it will be safe to upgrade again for my MBP?

If anyone else have such issue, will try to revert to Catalina
I reverted and haven't had an issue since...running badass like it always did. When do you think it will be safe to upgrade this MBP?

I'm wondering if I should upgrade to Big sur yet? I downgraded because it was having so many issues, anyone know when it will be safe to upgrade again for my MBP?
Other than buggy and ridiculously slow (facebook etc) safari which can be fixed by using 'safari technology preview' version it looks like they fixed most of the bugs now.
