Update Transmission to 3.0

I have version 2.94 on my High Sierra Mac and am wondering whether I should upgrade to V 3.0 as its available now - The only reason I ask is that for a long time I have opened transmission using a scpt I got years ago from

TLS SNI problem on OS X - Transmission

which cured some issue I cant remember now - any thoughts ?
