The magnifier is gone, supposedly you should just see the cursor itself and move that around, but often it’s hidden under your finger so it’s certainly not as good or user friendly as it used to be with the magnifier.
The magnifier is gone but if you move your finger down keeping it on the screen once the cursor appears you should be able to see it. There’s a whole lot of new learning to do.
Unfortunately often enough it doesn’t happen and the cursor ends up staying under the finger rather than being above it. It certainly worked better with the magnifier—doesn’t seem like there was really any reason to change and get rid of it.
Getting the “Select All” option to come us which was simple before is now unnecessarily different and hit or miss as well.
Why can’t Apple just fix what needs fixed when they do an upgrade? Why is it that we have to learn to use everything all over again? Why so many extra steps to do the same as before?They should at least provide a way to go back if you don’t like the new iOS. What a pita! All ios13 has done for me is to make me think my next phone may be an Android. I’m sure as hell not going to upgrade my computer.
It works but frankly, I liked the magnifier a heck of a lot more than the larger cursor. Took me a while and some googling to figure out how to to make it work. The change certainly isn't obvious.
Neither all that obvious nor any better it seems (and can actually be said to be worse).
