Yes. Cows living in North Dakota won't be able to get 3G on their iPhones. What a shame.
They have pretty much all the populated cities covered. I can't blame them for not wanting to upgrade an area to 3G in small towns where demand simply isn't there. Verizon has 3G in the middle of nowhere because the upgrade for them was much easier, it's basically a software upgrade to the towers, whereas with AT&T technicians have to go out to every tower and install new equipment for 3G. And remember, just because some guy at the Verizon HQ upgraded a cell tower halfway across the country in Bumf*** Montana to EvDO doesn't mean that the backhaul was upgraded and that you can actually hit 3G speeds on that tower.
