Just updated to 1.1.3 on my iPhone and now my phone is showing 14,000 e-mails still to be downloaded from Gmail. What the hell happened? Is there any way to mass delete these? Otherwise, it's going to always show that I have unread e-mails on my iPhone. It says exactly at the bottom of the 200 e-mails already showing "Load 50 More Messages - 14,458 messages total, 14,364 unread.

If you set up Mail using IMAP to fetch Gmail, you're not actually downloading the emails to your iPhone. All you need to do is go into Gmail and Archive all of your mail so it saves it to "All Mail" folder. This clears all your mail in your Inbox in Gmail. Once you've archived ALL of your mails, refresh Mail on you iPhone and all your mail should be gone. They are not physically gone as they are archived on the Gmail server.

Hope this helps.
