Hello. I expected to find Night Shift in Sys Pref > Display pane after installing 10.12.4, and it is not! Wondering what is causing that? And what I could do to make it appear?

Your Mac isn't officially supported by Apple Nightshift (even though there is no hardware reason it can't run, typical Apple). But, someone has made this handy little applet which should get it working (have not tried it myself though):
NightEnabler
This little applet uses PikerAlpha's proof of concept to enable Night Shift on older systems (pre-2012 Macs).

Note: To remove the patch, simply run NightEnabler again, and select "Remove Patch".
Backups are kept in ~/Library/Application Support/NightEnabler

Why am i not surprised? Apple just pulled another dick move to get people to buy a newer device.
