After updating to 2.3.1 yesterday, and all seemed to be well, then today when I came home my
TV wouldn't respond to the paired remote. Went and got another Apple remote (from my MacBook), and tried it -- the LED on the front flashed amber, which is normal for an unpaired remote. Then I noticed that the paired remote would cause the LED, which was dimly glowing white, to go blank when you pressed a button.
Tried to unpair the remote by holding 'Menu' and '<<' on my laptop's remote, but no joy. Then I tried 'resetting' the
TV by cycling the power (unplugging the power cable).
TV looked like it was restarting, but never gave the startup movie and now seems totally dead. What I get now is the LED on the
TV glows white dimly, and goes blank if I push any button on either remote, but that's it.
I'm afraid it's just dead, but if anyone's got any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks.
