Today I was going upload my photos from my iphone 6 running iOS 10 to my windows computer and I am not able to. My windows computer detects the iphone, in fact i can see it on itunes. However, I will not mount in. I can not browser my pictures folder on the iphone as i usually do...

any suggestions?

unlock the phone, there should be a popup asking if you trust the computer.

The only other thing would be to try a different cable or different usb port on the computer and try again.

I had the same problem. I tried a bunch of things, including an iTunes uninstall/reinstall, which didn't work.

Ultimately, I found that it was necessary to disconnect my iPhone from my computer, power cycle the iPhone, and then plug the USB cable back in. This enabled the iPhone to appear in "This PC" so I could download my photos.

This is only a temporary fix. Next time you want to download pictures, you'll need to do the iPHone power cycle again.

Hard to say. On Tuesday, not only was iOS updated, but also iTunes and Windows 10.

I'm leaning towards it being a bug in "Apple Mobile Device Support," (which was updated with iTunes) since I could see my iPhone in "This PC" (though not access it) while iTunes was uninstalled.
