iPhone Updated to latest iOS - passcode required

Hi all,

A relative has just updated her iPhone having not been done in some time.

The device is now looking for a passcode. (There was no passcode prior to the update being installed and has not set up a passcode on completion of the update).

Has Apple set a default passcode with the latest update? Don’t remember experiencing similar problems when I updated myself.

Has anyone experienced similar?

No, apple doesn’t set a default passcode. Somehow she must have set a passcode at some point.

Didn’t think so. If a passcode has been set some time ago and not been used, could/would it kick in again?
