I have updated to Sierra, since then my fan won't stop running unless the computer is shut off. I have checked my activity monitor and it is showing that Asterisk (which I don't even remember ever installing, nor do I think I use, nor can I find the files for) seems to be using 90+% of my CPU.

This is crazy. I have NO idea how to stop it.

My battery lasts maybe 2 hours, used to be roughly 6 or more.

Please help me.

Asterisk is a VOIP app. Look for it in your Applications folder and also the folders listed below and remove anything related to the app, then restart.

Code:
~/Library/LaunchAgents (~ is your users folder)
/Library/LaunchAgents
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/StartupItems
/System/Library/Extensions/
