I have the jailbroken version of iphone 1.1.3 but I want to upgrade to 1.1.4. Do i need to update via itunes (i live in Canada) and then jailbreak the new version or is there a better method of doing this?

Appreciate all your help!!

Restore your iphone to 1.1.4 and then download ziphone, and select do it all if you want to unlock or just jailbreak if you only want to install apps. this is by far the easiest way.

Hi I use an iphone and I live in canada too. Using fido. Just follow what they say, it's what I do. Choose to update it to 1.1.4 then use ziphone to unlock it. There is a ziphone version for both the pc and mac so no worries either way. Unless you use linux................ When you use ziphone, just choose the do it all! button and it'll all be good. Just google ziphone if you can't find it.

Any more help? just post another reply. I'm sure others and myself =p will be glad to help you. =)

SMS Problems

Hey guys. Massive iphone newbie here. Im having some problems regarding SMS on my phone, time stamping appears to be off by at least 4 hours. Also the chat history is currently being displaced with all of my messages on one side, and with my recipeients messages along the other. The usual back-and-forth text boxes dont appear anymore. Any help?

I know the 1.1.3 version, of which i currently have, was supposed to help with sending multiple SMS's, perhaps this is an effecting glitches? Anyone know what 1.1.4 brings? And a step by step guide to upgrade? Thanks guys.

Hey mofiya. Thos problem you are experiencing is quite common. I had it too while using 1.1.3. The bubbles going out of order. Try using auto time zone set and not settin git yourself. If not you'll probably need to update to 1.1.4 to solve it. It is a very iffy thing and is a glitch in 1.1.3. Not a nooby question at all, it is one that confuses a lot of people, me included.

I updated to 1.1.4 and all is good now, except the time is sometimes still a few hours off but atleast the texts are in order. G'luk. Next time post a new thread for a new subject to stay on topic. ^^
