Updating 2 iPhones on same computer

I'm not sure what you mean by 'download file,' but you can easily synch 2 iPhones on one computer without them getting in the way of each other. Each one keeps its own backup file and preferences.
Yeah if your talking about the back-up then yes each iPhone should have its own back-up data.
If your talking about the data such as music and contacts then its a we bit different.
If your syncing your contacts with a program on the computer then the iPhone's will endup sharing the same contact list.
However they will only share the same music that you allow them so if your baby sister listens to some 3-DoorDown while you listen to lets say SlipKnot. Then you can prevent getting her crap by placing all your music into play lists and syncing only playlists to the phone (this is done through the tabs on the iTunes interface and the settings do not carry between the phones).
If your talking about email then while on the info tab just be sure that users 1 and 2 are either not checked as syncing to the same mail accounts or are if you want them to share.

Ah, ok. I see what you're talking about. You're wondering if it downloads the file all over again when you plug in the second iPhone or if it just uses the same one twice. That's a good question, I don't know about that. I guess it would depend on when you plugged in the second phone. I believe that your computer deletes the file after it's done updating the phone, but if you have both phones plugged in at the same time maybe it will service them both from the same file. I've had both mine and my niece's iPhone's synching from my computer, but the time between updates is usually weeks apart (since we live in different states) so I don't have enough data to answer your question properly.
Help - iPod cassette adaptor only running sound out of right speakers

I have an iPod Nano and I recently bought (from Radio Shack) a cassette adaptor for my car stereo to listen to the iPod through that stereo. After plugging in the wire and inserting the cassette adaptor, I was getting sound out of only the right speakers. I returned the cassette and tried three other new ones - same result. I then tried a friend's adaptor (which works fine in his car) with both my Nano and his iPod and and no combination worked in my car - only the right speaker would allow sound. I have checked my settings on the stereo and those are fine and have even played cassettes through it to make sure that only when the adaptor is in does it experience difficulties. I can't troubleshoot the problem.
Any ideas..?

RedInAustin, as long as you are updating both of the phones from the same iTunes library, then you will be fine. If you have no idea what I am talking about, if you have 2 accounts on the computer that you are using, then you need to make sure you use the same account to update both of the iPhones. Hope that helps!!
I think the question is 'Do I have to wait another 10 minutes for the firmware update to download a second time if I'm updating two phones back to back?" I just did this and the answer is no, it only downloads the firmware once and then will apply it to the second phone without having to download it again.
