Rescued a 2006 iMac and would like to at least update the browser. Updating the OS would be a bonus.
Any suggestions or threads that would apply. Hardware updates would be ok for me to do at reasonable expense. Either that or a donation to a newby.

The most current browser for 10.6.8 - 10.8.5 is Firefox 48.0.2. Depending on which 2006 iMac you have that's the OS range you're looking at for reasonable performance. The official max for a late 2006/Core 2 Duo is 10.7.5, but an early 2006/Core Duo is stuck on 10.6.8.
