Updating an app while using categories

Do you have to take an app out of a category to update it or can it be updated while its in a category?

When you go to update, it will take the app out of the category. When it is done it will put it back in. Sometimes it'll stat out and say "installing" but will have a full download bar. A simple respring will solve that.
