I've been having an issue with updating my apps. (Now Playing and CheckPlease are the 2 apps that are giving me issues.)

When I try to update apps from the app store on my iPhone it gives me an error message telling me it was unable to download correctly and needs to connect to iTunes. When I do this, I get an error from iTunes telling me I was unable to transfer the app over.

I've tried removing the app from my phone and re-installing and it still gives me the same problem.

Now the App Store always has the red number in the top right corner telling me I have an update. Any solutions?

It is a 8gig 3G updated to 2.0.2 if that makes any difference.
