hi i have got new iphone and it has version 1.1.2 how can i update to 2.1 i was wondering if i click update on itunes and it will update to 2.2? can u pls tell me how can i update to 2.1 urgent

It doesn't matter what firmware you have on your phone. Just hook it up to iTunes, click check for updates, then choose if you want to "download only" or "download and install".

FYI...the most recent firmware is 2.2 not 2.1

i know most recent is 2.2 but i want 2.1 not 2.2 since some people got some prob with that..

I'm pretty sure you can only update to the latest (2.2) firmware in iTunes. Why would Apple allow you to upgrade to an old firmware?

I would advise updating to 2.2, but if you insist on 2.1, find it online, then option click on Mac, or shift click on Windows, on the update button, and you can select the update file.
