I am trying to fix a 3GS here and I cannot update it to anything besides 5.1. The client wants iOS 6, but iOS 5.1.1 would be OK too. But Redsn0w and snowbreeze want blobs to these firmwares. Has apple stopped signing 6.1.2 already? I don't have the blobs to anything except 4.1 and 5.1. How do I go about updating without blobs?

So.. theres literally no way of updating without the blobs? Thats not cool.. :S

OP check the bootrom of your 3GS, if it's old bootrom you can use redsn0w to jailbreak it regardless of firmware and it will be untethered. Google instructions on how to do this or check the link in my signature.

You say you have blobs for 5.1? Why not use that?

No untethered jailbreak for 5.1 unless it's an OLD 3GS.

So basically, if it's a NEW bootrom 3GS, you might as well go to 6.1.3 and be tethered since you will be tethered on 5.1 anyways.
