I think I know the answer but just to confirm, is it possible to update an iPhone 6 to iOS 16? I believe it will only go to iOS 15.8

Thanks

You're using a tag for a 6s, but asking about a 6.

As @StumpyBloke said, max version is 12.5.7. But if you actually meant a 6s, then max version is iOS 15.8.1.

So, either way - no, you can't upgrade to iOS 16. I'm not even going to get into digital signing and such.

If you've got a 6, upgrading it to iOS 12 will kill it.
iOS 12 ruined that phone.
At this point - theres no point in updating an iPhone 6 to iOS 12. iOS 12 won't provide any improvement and Safari will still break on most websites. iOS 12 is a poison pill for iPhone 6.

iOS 15 runs fine on a iPhone 6s though and I highly recommend upgrading that phone if that's what you've got.
