updating ipad 1 from 4.3.3 to ios 5.0.1

can i update my ipad from 4.3.3. to ios 5.0.1 ? my itunes prompts for updating to 5.1.1. Help!

Well you'd need a copy of 5.0.1 and install it yourself. iTunes will only install the latest.

Why don't you want 5.1.1? If it's because of jail breaking?, they've got an untethered jailbreak now.

yes i do have a copy of 5.0.1 but when i try to update it , it shows 3194 error. I dont wanna move to 5.1.1 coz i have heard from users having battery issues.

you got it all backwards, 5.1.1 improves battery life, miles better than 5.0.1 my battery on my 4S lasts way longer

Unless you have your SHSH blobs, you're stuck on 5.1.1.

I'm pretty sure it's already been said. Unless you have saved your SHSH blobs you're screwed buddy. Apple is no longer signing the 5.0.1 update. Take the 5.1.1 update and be done with it.

sorry i am newbie. what are shsh blobs and how do i save them?
