Updating iPad 2 to 8.4 from 8.3!!

Hi I need to update my iPad 2 and iPhone to 8.4 from 8.3 but from iTunes it will only update to 8.4.1 and I want to keep JB. If I download the 8.4 ipsw file can I update to 8.4 or will I need to update to 8.4.1 then downgrade to 8.4?? Never done it this way before.

For the time being, Apple is still signing iOS 8.4 so if you download the ipsw file you can still restore to iOS 8.4 and then jailbreak it.

And for future purposes, how can I find out what apple is currently signing?

They were as of Thursday when I upgraded my iPad 2 from 8.1 to 8.4--however I had to download the ispw from several different sites before I found one that would work. I kept getting a message about the ispw not being compatible. Finally one worked.

I believe it was one from iclarified--if you have trouble reply here and I'll give you a list of the ones I tried...
