hi I'm a bit of a newbie to this so I'm trying to figure out this problem I've been trying to upgrade my Mac Pro 1.1 to the 2.1 firmware using the Mac Pro 2006-2007 Firmware Tool and I've been watching Youtube tutorials to get the idea on how to do but I keep coming up with an error message everytime I try to update the firmware the program has occurred an error 5570 if you took the time to help me figure it out I would much appreciate it here are my specs to give you an idea

2 x 3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon ( I've already ordered xeon x5365s so there on there way) its a
Mac Pro MacPro1,1 and this is the problem when I do the firmware update I hold the button down, the loading screen shows and flashes for second and goes to black as show in the video. ( sorry for the video quality)

try rebooting a few times after.

no just normal reboot but try a few times
Ok got ya. But what buttons do I have to press to reboot it cus I dont know how to do it. also do u think u figured out the problem? What's your take on it?

Hi I tried updating the firmware from 1.1 to 2.1 and get a 5503 error. Has anyone got this or know how to get round it thanks
