hi I'm a bit of a newbie to this so I'm trying to figure out this problem I've been trying to upgrade my Mac Pro 1.1 to the 2.1 firmware using the Mac Pro 2006-2007 Firmware Tool and I've been watching Youtube tutorials to get the idea on how to do but I keep coming up with an error message everytime I try to update the firmware the program has occurred an error 5570 if you took the time to help me figure it out I would much appreciate it here are my specs to give you an idea

2 x 3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon ( I've already ordered xeon x5365s so there on there way) its a
Mac Pro MacPro1,1 and this is the problem when I do the firmware update I hold the button down, the loading screen shows and flashes for second and goes to black as show in the video. ( sorry for the video quality)

use power button on the tower and manually shutdown and restart and do it a few times
U mean how I did it in the video hold the until it flashes but do it more then once
Ok got ya. But what buttons do I have to press to reboot it cus I dont know how to do it. also do u think u figured out the problem? What's your take on it?
press the button and hold for a few seconds below the light on the front of the macpro tower to reboot
Ok press and hold the power button, keep my finger on it and that should reboot it?
Hi I tried updating the firmware from 1.1 to 2.1 and get a 5503 error. Has anyone got this or know how to get round it thanks
