How can I set my iPhone 13 and my MacBook pro to update automatically?

I have everything set on my iPhone...settings...general...... software update.....and those two green buttons are turned on but it does not update automatically.

And how do I do it for my MacBook Pro?

And while I have your attention, how can I set my MacBook to autocorrect? Sometimes, when I have a typo , it corrects a word and if I continue typing it changes the word. No problem here. But many times it does not correct a typo and one example is 'I". It does not always correct them from small to large when it is used. Any suggestions?

FWIW......this is the year that the Dallas Cowboys make it to the Super Bowl. I am confident. This is the year,
For sure.

Thanks

You DO NOT want automatic updates.

Reason why:
Suppose Apple puts out an update (and your Mac automatically updates), and then finds a problem with the new release, and withdraws it?

This has happened in the past. And there are no automatic "un-installs".

Better to have "notifications only" of updates.
Then YOU choose as to whether or not you want it installed.

Why let someone else have control of YOUR computer?

I also think it's a bad idea to update the OS automatically. But, since you asked

Assuming you're running Ventura: In System Settings > General > Software Update, you'll see the item "Automatic updates". To the right there's a little circle with an "i" in it. Clicking that brings up a dialog where you can make various choices about how to handle updates.

I checked Settings as you suggested, and all the options are blue/open.

Thanks
