Hey, I have a jailbroken iPhone currently running version 2.2, I want to update to 2.2.1, just i have a few questions.

  • First, is it even worth it? Seeing as it's not that big an update?
  • Also will I loose all my 'Jailbroken' apps? Cycorder etc? But keep my existing App's from the App Store?
  • Lastly, all my Winterboard stuff, eg. Themes, Lockscreen etc, will I loose all that aswell?
IF it means I have to get all these Jailbroken apps etc again, and it's only a small update I'm guessing it isnt worth it? I know I could download all my themes etc to my desktop, then re-upload them, so I suppose that isnt TOO big a deal, but just wondering what you lot think?

Oh btw, sorry if this has been mentioned 100 times over, but I struggle to find definate answers from dotted around threads haha. Thanks anyways.

It's not worth it. If you have a 3G, then you need to fiddle about with your BaseBand in PwnageTool.

I upgraded, but thats just me :)

I didn't bother upgrading, but maybe it's just me, I'll wait a couple of months for 3.0.

I think you can use AptBackup. But I don't know how it works.

I haven't upgraded yet either. I also didn't do the carrier update that iTunes popped up with, but I dunno if that effects jailbreaking at all.
