Updating to 3.0 software/firmware

Hey guys i got the 3.0 software for the iphone and would like instructions on how to upgrade my iphone. When i am in iTunes, i dont get the choice to do so. I guess it is because it has not been release yet in the US. Is there any other way to do so, without having to wait?

Hold option and click restore in iTunes, select the 3.0 firmware.

Step 1: Wait til Next Wed
Step 2: Click Update
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
