It's literally been years since I updated my phone and when I did update I did it in store so excuse this question if it sounds simple or stupid. I ordered a max through apple and I'm on Tmobile on a 7+. When I get my new phone is it just a simple matter of taking the old sim out and putting it in the Max? Or should I use the new sim that comes with the max?

If I need to use the new sim, how does it get activated?

You’re better off by just give tmobile a call. Just have your box ready, they’ll be asking some numbers on the back of your phone and your set! Good luck and enjoy!

With att at least you can do just as you said. Take sim out of the old phone and put it in the new phone. I’ve done this with every phone since the current sim type has been a thing.
