I installed windows on my macbook and when i went to install the drivers it said i needed a newer version of windows installer so i downloaded Windows XP service pack 2 which from looking around on the net seemed to b wat i needed but when i open it in windows it comes up saying that i have insufficient space on my HD to install it. I partitioned my HD so i had 15GB for windows thinking this should be plenty. Should i repartition it so it has more space? or is there something else im doing wrong?! please help ASAP!

When I installed windows I was also surprised how much space was taken so I searched around to see how I could free up space. Apparently, for me, the culprit was system restore. Each restore point that windows makes can take a lot of space. To eliminate system restore points go to My Computer and right click on the C drive. Under the general tab, click the Disk Cleanup button. In the Disk Cleanup window, click on the 'more options' tab and then click on the clean up button under the system restore section.
The requirements for Boot Camp clearly state that you need to install Windows XP with Service Pack 2 already slipstreamed onto the installation CD. You cannot install XP Service Pack 1 or earlier and come out with a working installation; it has been tried before. You can do a forum search if you don't believe me. 15GB would be plenty of space to house an XP installation with room to spare, but you must install XP SP2.
