Hi All,

I have an iPhone like this:
iPhone 8GB
Firmware 1.1.2 (3B48b)
Unlocked to t-mobile with i3gsim (i3gsim.com)
Jailbreaked!
Model Iphone 1,1 (M68Ap)
Model Number MA712LL/A
Modem Firmware 04.02.13_G
Bootloader Version 4.6_M3S2

And... I will like to upgrade to 1.1.4 but I hear some issues when ZiPhone Downgrade the BB or BL really don´t know...

Can someone who had made the same upgrade point to a step by step tutorial please? I don´t want to have a expensive brick.

Also please say if you had some issues after the upgrade (mine works just fine right now).

Thanks in advanced.

My advice is to NOT do it. 1.1.3/4 sucks! The only thing good about em is that you can send SMS's to multiple people but you can do that with iSMS. Customize.app doesn't work. The supposed speed upgrades in 1.1.4 doesn't seem to do anything for me. Ever since I was forced to upgrade (my iPhone thought it was an iPod Touch. Long story...) I've been trying to get back down to 1.1.2 and haven't.

But in anycase, if you really wanna upgrade just make sure you have your contacts set to sync, then sync (backup) your phone in iTunes then click upgrade. I'm on a Mac so I've got iJailbreak, which is ziphone. So once you've already upgraded and it says it's locked or whatever, just start up ziphone and jailbreak and unlock it.

It's really really simple to upgrade and jailbreak but a pain in the ass to get back down to 1.1.2.

Hope that helped :)

ZIphone...

No point being on old firmware :) b a man/woman :)

I think it'd be better said, no point being on NEW firmware. Be a man/women, keep it real -- keep it old skool!

Besides, nothing works on the new firmware. Much smarter to keep it old school in this case!

The big thing I like about 1.1.4 is the ability to look at two pages via safari, always frustrating loading a second page, close it and the original is already gone, uggh! So that little thing made the upgrade worth it, plus everything I've tried so far with 1.1.4 has worked...

Hmm, maybe I'm not understanding you correctly but you're also able to do that in 1.1.2...

Not in the same way 1.1.4 loads it.. not like it at all!

I'd say upgrade the firmware. Bug fixes, extra stuff in applications etc etc - ability to move icons around etc.

Old skool is better :p

I just like the way 1.1.4 (1.1.3 really) is with the multi sms, multi safari page loading etc :) dont have to worry about 3rd party apps then

Up 2 up... ZIphone is soo easy to use but if u like 1.1.2 then keep with that :)

ok, I just tried. I still don't see the difference

I dont see any differences after the bug fixes either.

I'd much rather use Customize than 1.1.4 for rearranging and hiding icons ;)

Because of all the great apps for jailbreak'ed phones I see no reason to upgrade to 1.1.3/4. Just doesn't make sense to me.

i did the jailbroken 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 update about a week ago and have no regrets.. i was very hesitant in doing so but like I said have had no issues

I wouldn't have minded upgrading if I didn't customize my phone so much. I had no icons except 5 in a custom dock and used the third party app, dock.app to access everything. I also used iSMS a lot as well as home.app to set the home button double click to open certain programs.

Like I said, if you don't fully customize your phone then upgrading is good. But if you do, don't.
