Hi

I just bought a Upek Eikon To Go encryption device to use on my new iMac but I'm having problems getting the fingerprint recognition device to work. Has anyone on this forum purchased this device and can give me advice? Thanks!

What sort of problems are you having?

The device doesn't seem to be able to accept my fingerprint. It keeps telling me that when I swipe the device it's too short (I presume my technique of swiping is too short). I've tried altering my swipe technique but it still doesn't accept my fingerprint.

Eikon

Try placing the last joint of your finger on the reader, then firmly and slowly move the rest of your finger over it... making sure to "arch" your finger a little towards the end so the reader catches your fingertip as well.

I've also heard there's an occasional problem with people who have had burn injuries or are older and for whatever reason have a "worn down" fingerprint. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for responding. I've try your suggestions.
