Hey guys!

I got a 13" 2020 M1 16GB MBP for a stop gap needed to view/work on 4k Video stuff my old late 2013' wouldn't play..

Its been great, other then the size. and now am needing a bigger screen/keyboard.

What would you all recommend? All the new chips released are a bit confusing.

Thanks in advance!

Is this for work, personal, or both?
What apps do you regularly use?
Why do you need a bigger screen?
How much space are you using for storage?

Both ; Regularly use Creative cloud/lightroom/photoshop etc , and the basic web browsers etc etc

The 13" is just smaller then Im use to. The keyboard even feels crammed. Typing this on my Late 13' MBP 16" and just feels natural.

Storage; I usually try to keep below 500gb and back things up on externals to use.

Appreciate the response

You do realize the keyboard on the 14 inch and 16 inch are the same size right?

The keyboard is the same size on all Macbooks (even the 11 and 12“ back in the days)

For video work i wouldn’t recommend an 15“ Air. So any M Pro 16“ or Max processor depending on your budget.

You sure about that? Certainly feels smaller..maybe my brain playing tricks on me.

If I could take my current 13" MBP M1 and turn into bigger screen it'd be perfect. Didn't consider an AIR..

Thanks for the tips guys

Yes. you can measure in apple store.

Did u consider an external display?

If the power of your M1 is enough and you really need a 16“ you can get a refurb M1 pro unit from Apple for about 30% less.

The keyboards are the same size, but the typing experience is quite different on the 15 & 16" machines thanks to the larger palm rest areas.

15" Air or a 16" M1/2/3 Pro are the options depending on if you want/need a lighter machine I guess.
