Hello Everyone.

I have a Mac Mini Late 2014 model with factory fusion drive configuration.
So the PCIE slot is the official one.

I just replaced the Apple SSD By a Samsung EVO 970 with an adapter (this model: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B01GHSE7Z2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )

After installation, everything wroks fine except the "Link Width" is only X1, I have just 500Mb/s band width.

I read some post whitch says for some MBPr models, it needs to use a Kapton tape to cover metal pins.
Do I need do so for a mac mini? I'm not sure for this because there is no metal shell on Mac mini unlike MBPr.

In your opinion, is that a problem on this adapter?

Do I need to take this
Sintech long version
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B0...sin_title_o04_s00?tag=macr00-21&ie=UTF8&psc=1

or
Sintech shortversion

Thanks in advance,

I haven't done the research regarding the Mac Mini 2014, but if it supports more than 1X, and if the old SSD worked at >1X, and if the 970 works in another machine at >1X, it must be a bad adapter.
