Once again, Verizon is offering an upgrade promotion to the 15PM. Cost is pretty low per month. Is it worth it? If I trade in my 13 PM it’s worth $830. I really want to wait for the 16 though. Opinions?

Do you want a 15PM? If you do, get it now. Come next year you might ask yourself a similar question - if you want to wait for the 17 and so on.
My mantra is, if you want something and can afford it responsibly, buy it and get over the thrill.
you already answered your own question. You really wanna wait for the 16. You can make up your own mind and don’t need us to give you assistance. You only have about 7 1/2 months before the release of the 16
Thanks… yeah I did a little more checking.. they give you $830 to get anything but the Pro Max.. only $400 towards the PM. No incentive to get those out the door. It’s not so much that I’m compelled for the latest, it’s just that with these 36 month payments if the amount out of pocket doesn’t change I’m losing money every month as the phone ages. It’s also a great excuse to get you into a higher phone plan that I don’t need.
Wait for the 16, they'll have the same exact offer as soon as it comes out.... I got my wife a 14PM last year by trading in her 12PM but wish I had waited a few months and just gotten her the 15PM for the same exact offer.... that was on me for thinking the 12PM's trade in value would diminish... But it turns out they offered the same exact amount for it when the 15 came out.
Yeah that’s my thought. Why don’t they just lease us these damn phones.. we’re always paying for them anyway .. then tack on tax (not insignificant on an $1500 phone) and the $35 activation fee plus a bump up to the highest plan. If my cable providers WiFi wasn’t so bad, I’d switch. Only thing keeping me on Verizon now is my daughter (mind you, 25 yo) that uses a lot of data. I’m wfh so my data usage is very low but I had to bump up my plan to get the last upgrade
Not that exact offer but close.. note “up to. Probably need a new line and the most expensive plan. They’re almost willing to give away the 15’s.
I do get the $1000 trade-in for my 13 PM 256GB and it's for an upgrade. No new line needed. Just pay tax on the new phone and the $35 upgrade fee. $11.10/month for a 15 PM 512GB isn't too shabby. I think I will upgrade, why not. Must be a targeted offer. I have 5G Get More plan so maybe that's the reason?

I noticed something interesting. I decided to see what a 15P 1TB would cost and, even though it showed only $830 upgrade offer initially, when I got to the checkout page it was showing $1000 trade-in credit. This is also for an upgrade with no new line nor a new plan required.
