iPhone 15 Pro Max Upgrade from 15 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max on AT&T Next Up

I purchased a 15 Pro Max last year via the AT&T $1K trade in offer. Obviously, the contract term has another 2 years remaining but wondering if the AT&T next up plan is a good channel to upgrade to the 16 Pro Max after 18 months of current term has elapsed?
