Yes, the email attachment security hole was fixed.

I did notice that updating to 7.1.2 and then re-jailbreaking did give me a little issue this time, it wasn't as smooth as it was with 7.1.1

Not sure if worth it, but I tend to think so.

I really didn't want to, but did as soon as 7.1.2 came out last Monday after fidgeting with my 7.1.1 jailbreak config the week before that.

Now i'm set
