So i know that you couldnt do this before.
Is this still the case?
I have a Jailbroken iPad Air running 8.3 but id like to uppgrade to 9.*** and still have it jailbroken.
Is this possible, or is it impossible now when 9.1 is out?

Nothing has changed. If Apple is not signing a jailbreakable firmware you cannot update to it.

9.1 is not jailbreakable. 9.1 is the only version of 9 being signed. If you want to update, it will be stock.

Still the same.
How it works is you have to restore to stock iOS and then jb that iOS version.
You can never go from jb iOS 8 for example to jb iOS 9.
You go from jb iOS 8.3 to restored stock 9.0.2 and then you jb that firmware. But since the only thing that's signed now is 9.1 you have to wait.
Next time do it right away while you can cause Apple can release an updated iOS version and stop signing the firmware that can be jb.

no sorry you can't. Have to wait until a new jb comes out that has a firmware that is still being signed.
