Upgrade from Beta 6 to Gold

I have a quick question! SO, to have the final version, will an update be released for beta users, or do I have to download the Yosemite installer?

Beta 6 and the final version are one and the same. No need to update or re-install; you have it already.

I just got an email from Apple telling me that I have to download the installer since the build I currently have is still the beta.

So, looks like we have to do the 5GB download. ^^;

That's correct, the build numbers are not the same. Just install the full Yosemite over the existing build.
