Apple treat us, early macbook Air adopters like a piece of ****.
The solution for the core shutdowns the hot inside the Air is so simple,
change X3100 by the new Nvidia 9300M. Ok, now we are going to be absolutely ignore by apple, because the solution to all the problems we have is to let that intel **** out of the box. That´s not good apple...
For the future, no more drivers for intel x3100 updates...
As for the Hard disk, ¿SERIAL ATA? Come on, are u kidding us?
Who´s technical explanation to not build Sata at first Air? The sata
interface is in the first Macbook air Chipset, Sata disks are in production too, so why?...

I think you're too emotional about it. I understand it's annoying that the model you got has more issues and less drive upgrade possibilities, but try to remember that those were revision A problems that were widely criticized. Apple made it (supposedly) better, which is an improvement.
The point is, backwards compatibility simply doesn't apply to this case. It doesn't matter to previous generation laptops whether Apple uses PATA or SATA now, because they don't make drives. Other companies make them.
You're right that Apple limited your options by using a PATA drive in the first place. I have no idea why they did it (although I think SATA drive of the size they needed wasn't available at the time), but why should they continue with this mistake?
Also it seems that with Air the drive being PATA or SATA isn't the only limitation - someone earlier (I can look for the thread if you want) tried to put 120GB drive from the new iPod Classic in Air and failed (it didn't work, no idea why). So upgrading it isn't easy anyway, even with the seemingly right drive.
