Upgrade help on new Mac mini 2.26 GHZ

I picked up the new mac Mini 2.26 ghz yesterday and I'm planning to upgrade it myself. I have a Mac Book pro with 4 gigs of ram and a 7200 rpm drive that I want to swap between the two machines. Can I just swap the drives with out any problems? ALso, do you you think the mini will be the same to open as the last revision?

Same to open, is what I heard. The 7200rpm drive should work fine in the mac mini, but you will have to reformat it. As far as the ram, which macbook pro do you own?

Depending on which Macbook Pro you have, and what OS you are running you could actually get away without a reformat.

For example, if the Macbook Pro is running Snow Leopard you should have no problems popping that into the Mini and using it without a reformat.
 
The MacBook pro is the Unibody 2.26 ghz current shipping version and my system is also the most current Snow Leopard 10.6. The ram is 4 gigs
 
The RAM and hard drives on the unibody laptops and the current rev Mac mini are 100% interchangeable.

The new Mac minis will REQUIRE Snow Leopard. It is very likely that the new Mac minis have a newer build of the operating system than is publicly available. If you transfer the hard drive and are unable to boot, just use the restore DVDs that came with the new Mac mini to install the latest OS onto your 7200rpm hard drive. Don't worry, it won't erase your data.

The new Mac minis should be the same to open. Those computers are delicate inside. Be careful around the antenna connectors!

Before you open the mini and handle its components, please, please, please make a small investment and purchase an ESD grounding mat and wrist strap from your local electronics store. Fry's has a kit for about $45. ESD kills circuit boards!
 
Thanks to all who gave input. I opened the mini and swapped the ram and hard drive from my MacBook pro and it stated up fine. The new Mac Mini has the same lay out as the last model and the OWC video was bang on. I did pull an antenna of by accident but it pushed back on and everything seems to work fine.

The hardware has not changed significantly enough to require Snow Leopard. They will also probably not have a special build of it.
