Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to remove i5 (7th gen) and put i7 lastest generation (7th gen) in the 2017 27" iMac?

Thanks

Technically yes, if I understand iFixit's information correctly. There are "warranty void stickers" covering the heatsink screws. But if you are located within the United States, you are protected under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, assuming they can't find any proof that you damaged the computer in the process of upgrading. However, they usually still claim you voided it. Proceed at your own risk. If you do need Apple to repair it in the future, you will probably have to fight them, maybe even take it to a small-claims court.

Good luck!

TLDR:
Yes. but not recommended.
