hi,
i have a simlocked iphone 3G running iOS 3.1.2 BB 05.11.07 and currently jailbroken with blackra1n and softunlocked. Because of problems with cydia not loading and so on. I am thinking of upgrading to 3.1.3 and jailbreaking with redsn0w 0.9.4.
my itunes is updated to version 10.7.0.21.

now my questions are:
should i upgrade?
is ios 3.1.3 better for the iphone 3G?
what do i have to consider?
could there be a problem with itunes? (e.g. verification of the iOS as it is an old one)
i need the unlock? could there be any problem? (especially do i have to protect the baseband? does it change with the upgrade to 3.1.3?)
if i need to upgrade and jailbreak in a different way. how should i do it?

thanks for all suggestions and help in advance.
cheers,

I'm also facing same problem. One of my friend suggest me a website that have all solutions of iPhone but this site is paid. And I have no money yet. So, I'm suffering with it.

ok sorry but thats not helping,
could you tell me if the baseband of the iphone 3g would change with the upgrade to 3.1.3?
is there still the opportunity to unlock it and is it good for the iphone 3g or does 3.1.3 slow it down?

cheers,

@dhlizard: thanks for the answer, thats useful, goin to upgrade and jailbreak it with redsn0w now! ;)

@moonman239: yeah its surprising, there are still people with an iphone 3G. as my iphone 4 is not able to be unlocked, so my old iphone 3G has to do the job. except for the problems with cydia, its working fine. ;) so don't bother with using old stuff, recycling pays off some times! ;)

cheers,
