Hi

Got a MacPro 1,1 and I'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade it with 2 x Intel E5472 Xeon CPUs.

They are 3,0 GHz Quad Core which will give my box a significant boost, got 2 x 2.66 Xeon Dual Core at the moment!

Thanks

It won't work because it uses a stepping that is not supported by your Mac Pro (supported by 2008 Mac Pro). You will need a CPU from Xeon 5300-series. X5365 is the best you can get (also 3GHz quad).
