Hi,

I got an 15' mid-2008 MacPro and I'm looking at maybe upgrading it to get better performance out of it.

First of all I would like to replace the HDD with an SSD. Not knowing a lot about SSD's, but I understand that SATA2 is what the machine supports, so any suggestions on a disk that would be good (improve speed and reliable). Would like to replace it like for like so a 250GB disk would be preferred.

I've look at bit at the samsung 840 evo and Crucial M550, but I'm not really sure what I should look for. Except for price.. :)

Any other things I should consider? CPU/ GPU / RAM?

I've looked at RAM and might get 8GB, but have to check my current usage first.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Josh

I don't know what a 15' Mac Pro is. what does the 15' mean:confused: Lou

15"=inch 15'=feet So it's the 15 foot model! :D It can be a pretty daunting task putting in a DVD!
